Universal Studios Hollywood, CA #FamilyTravel #Review

Universal Studios Hollywood is one of the most popular attractions in the Los Angeles area which features rides and amusements based on some of the most popular scene and characters from film and television. If thrills are you thing, there are plenty of hair-raising rides and coasters. Welcoming hoards of tourist each day I'd highly suggest purchasing the Front of Line passes for $149 (Save $10 online). A one day ticket will run you $85 (Save $10 online). A family excursion to Universal Studios
doesn't come cheap.

Located in the unincorporated Universal City, just northwest of Hollywood. Driving is the easiest way to get there, and on-site parking is available for an additional fee, depending on what time and day you visit.

The studio tour is phenomenal, much better than I'd imagined, I was expecting a slow ride through movie sets. King Kong's Cave was our personal favorite. It's dark and you have no idea what's about to unfold.  Once your 3D glasses are on the adventure begins. Dinosaurs are jumping back and forth and waters spitting at you from the rain forest. Just imagine being inside a 3D barrel of a movie screen. It was a complete blast for our group.

We weren't able to enjoy The Mummy Ride as little man was too short. This was upsetting but we got over it as we jumped on other rides. The Shrek 4-D and The Simpson Rides provide a hybrid movie plus 'ride.' Not knowing what was about to happen was the best part.

So, I'm sure you are asking. Is the 'Front of Line' Pass worth the extra money?

Being frugal, or stingy. Whichever you prefer to call me. I'd certainly spend the extra money instead of waiting in a line for 30 plus minutes in the dead heat of the summer. The Front of Line Pass can only be used once per a ride. I'd only wish you could use this multiple times. Please note: Universal Studios offers a limited quantity of 'Front of Line' Passes each day. It's recommended to buy yours online in advance of arrival.
