Weekly Nutrisystem Review! #NSNation Week 14! Drinking water is important!

You've probably heard that you should drink 64 ounces of water daily. This is not a fact and the true amount varies on your weight, level of activity, the temperature and humidity of your environment, and of course your diet. Nutrisystem, not only manages what you can eat for each meal and snack they also give you a very handle 32 ounce water bottle to aid in weight loss and hydration.

I'm sure your worried that drinking 'too much' water will give you a bloated look. Honestly, there are a number of reasons and causes for water retention, including consuming too much salt. Honestly, drinking water it not one of them. Yes, it's possible that one can harm themselves by drinking too much water, but it takes quite an effort to do so. How is this possible? When you drink an excessive amount of water, you can dilute the electrolytes (potassium and sodium) in your blood to the point that it may interfere with your brain, heart and even your muscle function.

You can find water in other drinks. Most drinks are considered diuretics and cause your body to expel more water than what's put into it. Diuretics include caffeinated drinks such as coffee, tea, soda and alcohol. I bet you didn't know when you feel thirst you are dehydrated.

Unfortunately, I didn't see the scale budge too much this week. Working out four days at my local gym has really helped with my muscle mass and with muscle mass it takes up less space than fat and weighs less. I'm sure I'm losing inches and gaining muscle at the same time. I'll measure myself in two weeks and see if anything has budged. Crossing fingers!! XOXO
