Snagajob App Launches to Help Parents Find the
Perfect Hourly Job
iOS and Android app simplifies process of finding an hourly job by
using a smartphone’s video, photo and
GPS technology; App features over 500,000 current job openings
RICHMOND, Va., December 17, 2014 – Snagajob, America’s largest hourly employment marketplace for job seekers, today announced the release of its free app for iOS and Android, designed to meet the unique needs of those seeking hourly employment. The free app makes the job hunting process easier than ever by using a smartphone’s or tablet’s video, photo and GPS technology. With over 15,000 jobs added daily, Snagajob allows users to search for and apply to over 500,000 jobs across many industries, including restaurant, retail and customer service.
Snagajobs for iOS can be
downloaded on the App Store at: https://itunes.apple.com/us/ app/job-search-snagajob/ id333188676?mt=8
and for Android on
Google Play at: https://play.google.com/store/ apps/details?id=com.snagajob. jobseeker&hl=en
The Snagajob Job Search
app provides job seekers with the most efficient application process available
– once a free Snagajob account is established, they can find relevant hourly
positions and submit an application in less than a minute through the
“One-Click Apply” feature.
The
app’s “Video Apply” feature allows job seekers to record and upload a short
clip of themselves to include with their application and lets employers gauge
the personality fit and enthusiasm of applicants before scheduling an
interview, saving time and energy for both job seekers and employers. Applicants can also upload a photo, if they
desire.
By
using the device’s GPS technology, the app can immediately locate all available
positions in the users’ area, so that they can quickly see the opportunities
and the distance to their location. For
those seeking employment in a different location, such as college students
about to go back to school or a person relocating to a new part of the country,
the app allows users to input the location that they would like to search.
“In a matter of seconds,
a job seeker can find and apply for a job in a way that's easier, faster and
fundamentally more personal, by allowing them to make a true first impression,
leveraging photo and video, all from their mobile device,” said Snagajob CEO
Peter Harrison. “With so many people across the country still struggling
to find employment, the Snagajob app is a simple way to find jobs that match a
candidate’s background.”
Job seekers can find and apply for relevant job openings in just a few taps using the Snagajob Job Search app. Key features for job hunters include:
