Flor is an Eco-friendly company which produces carpet tiles to add a unique factor to any room. You have the option of a single color design or multiple colors. Putting the tiles together was very simple task and I could have done it alone. Although, I had my friend Chad help me. Simply remove the carpet tiles from the box and set them in whatever design you prefer (design options are provided in the instructions). FLOR tiles can be installed over a solid, smooth surface. Hardwood, ceramic tile, and on concrete. FLOR does not suggest installing the carpet tiles or padding or existing carpet.
You can create custom rugs, runners, or wall-to-wall designs of any shape or size. Each FLOR square measured 50cm X50cm. And you can purchase tiles individual or by rug size. A 5' x 7' rug takes 12 tiles, a 8' x 10' rug takes 30 tiles, and a 10' x 12' takes 42 tiles.
Once you have chosen a pattern and where you wish to lay your tiles the next step is attaching the 'FLORDOTS' to the bottom of the tiles to hold them in place. The 'FLORDOTS' go in the corner of each tile and are simple to attach and remove. For my review I received a 10' x 12' selection of tiles. I ended up choosing to make an 8' x 10' rug for the kitchen and possibly using the leftover pieces for the main entry way / mud-room. Altogether the process took less than an hour and I must say my kitchen rug looks fabulous and I can't wait to see how well it holds up over the next few years with a little toddler!
