After many months, I noticed my bills were not going down and I was still averaging $100 plus in charges from Alliant Energy on-top of my loans for the solar panels which were installed by Moxie Solar. I reached out and they couldn’t pinpoint why.
After writing a FB and Google review Moxie "realized" the installers “somehow” put a smaller system in than what was agreed upon and charged the original price. I paid $14,000+ for my set up and I received a $11,000 system.
The original salesman I spoke with mentioned my monthly electric bills would range from $20-30 (hookup fee). My bills were much higher and averaged around $100. Not to mention, the loans for the solar panels were $200+ monthly. I was also promised to receive a return for the extra energy produced quarterly which will never happen as the system is not adequate for my needs.
Moxie agreed to rip off the old system and reinstall a new system according to our contract. Please note, prior to installing engineers have to review and approve layout and consumption / energy production for each residence or business.
A year later, I found out the new installed system is not up to code and will never produce the amount of electricity needed. I have since spoken with others and found they received the same service and had the same issues with this company and it seems the company is 'training' individuals to be deceitful to customers.
